The Captain provides a key role in the overall success of operation at Cap’n Fish’s Cruises. Captains are responsible for managing a clean and safe vessel with a friendly and knowledgeable crew. How passengers perceive the vessel not only reflects on the ship and the staff itself but also as the company as a whole.
The ideal candidate will be able to maintain safe navigation of up to 100’ vessels in coastal and offshore regions, and during berthing maneuvers. You will need to follow and be respectful of all company guidelines. You may need to provide a narration during cruises.
Requirements:
- Proficient in English
- Minimum Masters License up to 100 gross ton upon near coastal waters.
- Leadership Abilities
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Basic mechanic skills are a plus
- Capable of passing random drug testing

As a part of the crew you are an integral part of our daily operation. The interaction of passengers with crewmembers is a large part of their overall experience. Your hard work ethic, friendly demeanor, and attention to detail reflects greatly on the way Cap’n Fish’s Cruises is perceived as a company.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable on boats, enjoy working with people, and be willing to be part of the team environment. For a portion of the tours, you will be responsible for manning the snack and beverage bar. You will also be responsible for cleaning the boats before and after each tour. Line handling, safety, and customer service training is provided.
Requirements:
- Proficient in English
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Basic bartending skills
- Basic food preparation skills
- Previous boating experience is a plus

The role of Guest Services is to be the face of the organization and generate interest and enthusiasm in our tours. Guest Services is responsible for ticket sales, answering customer inquiries, and organizing the boarding process.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people and want to provide a best-in-class customer experience. You will work with the leadership team to coordinate all “onshore” guest experiences. You will be responsible for working in the ticket booth to proactively sell tickets, process reservations, answer customer questions about our tours, and facilitate the tour onboarding process. Reservation software training and customer service training is provided.

- Basic computer and typing skills
- Sales experience is a plus

Naturalists are responsible for identifying and locating whales, puffins, seabirds, and other wildlife. The Naturalist should also be prepared to learn the points of interest and local history. The Naturalist is expected to deliver a narration over the sound system for whale watch and whale/puffin combo cruises at Cap’n Fish’s Cruises while interacting with passengers and conveying a friendly, educational, and entertaining experience with guests.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable on boats, enjoy working with people, and be willing to be part of the team environment. You will board passengers and enforce safety rules. You will need to always be striving to improve and keep up with the most recent information. You may be required to help in other areas as needed. Narration guidelines, safety, and customer service training is provided.
Requirements:
- Proficient in English
- Bachelor’s Degree in natural sciences such as Marine Science, Biology, Wildlife Ecology, or related fields
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Ornithology background is a plus
- Regional historical knowledge is a plus

The role of Parking Attendant is to be responsible for efficient parking lot management. Parking Attendants will collect payments, direct cars into open parking spaces, and safely valet cars. Importantly, Parking Attendants provide guests with a positive, friendly parking experience.
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with people and want to provide a best-in-class customer experience. You will work with the leadership team to coordinate all “onshore” guest experiences. Reservation software training and customer service training is provided.
